Unleash Your God-Given Potential

YOU WERE CREATED FOR A SPECIFIC PURPOSE

Sometimes in the midst of everything that’s going on, I believe we forget that we all are created for a specific purpose.  There is a God-given gift divinely placed within us for the salting of the earth.

I am reminded of the Women’s Suffrage Movement and the audacity of a few women of humble beginnings to dare act upon the “movement” within them.  As a result, here we are a few hundred years later enjoying the right to vote as a woman.

Genesis 1:27-28 reminds us all that from the beginning, we were all–male and female–created by God with specific tasks.

“So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.”

Apparent from scripture is that both male and female were created to govern the earth.  As women, we were not an after-thought of God.  Though the actual formation of Eve was later from Adam’s rib, she was created in the beginning with him…”male and female he created them.”

This Mother’s Day, I challenge us to embrace who we are as a woman with the gifts that God has placed within us.  We are fearfully and wonderfully made, says the psalmist…and our gifts and our femininity are a blessing from God.

The earth is in need of the salt of our gifts and femininity.

In the midst of total chaos and confusion, who knows if we have been placed in this moment, “for such a time as this.”

Happy Mother’s Day!!!
Esther 4:14
If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?”

Psalms 68:11
The Lord gives the word [of power]; the women who bear and publish [the news] are a great host.
