Repairing Worn Areas

“I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.” Ephesians 3:16

“The process of becoming stronger and more confident, especially in controlling one’s life and claiming one’s rights.”  Dictionary

The Word given to me for 2017.

Is what HE continues to do, even now.

Tractor girl continues reflections of 2017.  The year was challenging, as was for most, and during this time of reflection I see the worn and torn areas on the soul and spirit.  I look upon places  left unattended and things that appear to have been lost. I worry. I fret. And I, in my own strength, exhaust trying to recover it all.
Easy to see the glass as half empty, the outlook becomes gloomy.

“I pray that…He will empower you.”

I finally come to terms that the task is to great for me. I cannot fix what’s broken. During the year of 2017, I tapped into a bit of the “glorious, unlimited resources” and was empowered by HIM to do things that I was not naturally capable of doing. A lengthy stay at bedside of preacher in the hospital. An expected employment change. And everything in between. Yet, HE empowered me to go through each challenge.

But, storms often leave behind a bit of debris and sometimes carnage. Though the being weathers it, there’s usually evidence of a storm.

Here is where I find myself.

Yet, HE still empowers. From glorious and unlimited resources, HE strengths the spirit. As I release my innate abilities to HIM who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above anything that I can ask or think, HE restores my soul.

HE quiets me with HIS love.

HE shepherds me.

HE allows me to rest in green meadows and beside peaceful streams.

HE renews me and strengths me.

HE holds my world in HIS hands.

And from the ashes I rise…EMPOWERED.
